The
first six windows to be installed are based around three of the parables
of Jesus: "The Sower & the Seed," "The Mustard Seed,"
& "I am the Vine." Installation of these windows took
place on the afternoon of February 19, 2004 in a time of just under
four hours. |

| Here
you can see David Frei unloading the sheets of stained glass that will
be placed in the new frames purchased over one year prior. The sheets
of glass, while only held together by H-channels of lead, are quite
sturdy and can be moved easily. This marks the final stage for these
windows in a design process that has lasted nearly three years. |

After removing the brackets, the sheets of glass can be placed into their new frames. After installation, there will be just under 1 inch of space between the stained glass and the clear plate glass. All of the glass used in the creation of these windows was hand-blown, some being created in the United States, while other pieces were made by craftsmen in Germany. |
| Once
the windows are in place, the edges are caulked to help prevent vibrations
from damaging the windows. The caulk is not used to seal the air space,
because harmful vapors from the caulk could remain trapped between the
glass and discolor the windows. Once the caulk is complete, the brackets
can be placed back onto the frames, sealing the windows in place. |
