COAT DRIVE: The Howard County Human Services Council is conducting a coat drive. We are accepting 'gently used' coats and winter clothing as well as blankets and sleeping bags. You may leave donations at the church or at the Community Action office on the square. For questions, please contact Beverly Markland.

If you are interested in becoming a foster parent, contact Shelly Haynes at the Howard County Family Support Office (660) 248-3324. Foster parents play a crucial role in the lives of the children in their homes. Oftentimes, forster parents may be the first positive role model a child has known.

PANCAKE & SAUSAGE BREAKFAST:Sunday, March 7, 2010. If you have any items for the raffle, please contact Richard Koenig. Items are also needed for the Country Store.

Donations: If you would like to donate towards the cost of the sausage, please put your donation in an envelope marked "Hogs" or designate on your check that it is for "Hogs".

Raffle Tickets:Raffle tickets are available at all doors. Please take some to buy or sell. Turn in the money at the Pancake/Sausage Breakfast. Prizes include: 2 quilts, handmade afghan, large ham, two relexology gift certificates, five tool prizes, four sausage prizes and two consolation prizes.

Ashby-Hodge Gallery at Central Methodist University is featuring "The Scenic World of Byron Smith" a Columbia Artist. The show will run through March 4th. There will also be images in honor of Black History month from the permanent collection on display. Gallery hours are: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 1:30pm to 4:30 pm.
Spiritual Adoption Program in Lent

Anyone can adopt a baby (fetus) and pray for its safe entrance into this world. Buttons and prayer cards are available from Adrienne Thies or Karen Kuecke. You should pray for your baby for nine months, then we will have a baby shower and donate all goods collected to the Pro-Life group in Columbia for distribution. Thank you for your support of Life.

CONGRATULATIONS: Aeris Barton - Daley Elementary Student of the Week.

THANK YOU to the students of St. Mary's School for collecting 316 pounds of food for the Glasgow Food Pantry during Catholic Schools Week.

Our students made Valentines for some of our parishioners and shut ins. I want to pass along to all our youth, how much this was appreciated by all who received cards. The children experienced a wonderful ministry by readhing out to the parishioners in our faith community.
